Scottsdale, AZ Planning Commission and City Council Approve Rezoning for Hampton Inn and Suites at Scottsdale and Shea Remodel

The Scottsdale Planning Commission and City Council approved Hall Equities Group’s proposal for a major remodel to the Hampton Inn and Suites at Scottsdale and Shea hotel, which includes rezoning for added density. Expansion will occur on the eastern portion of the site by removing the easternmost building, extending the north and south wings, and adding a third floor. The porte-cochere will also be shifted to enhance the entry and improve signage. Today, there are a total of 130 total guest rooms (132 allowed by prior R-5 zoning). The remodel will preserve 69 guest rooms and add 81 new guest rooms for a new total of 150 guest rooms.
