Hall Equities Group and ZMC Hotels began construction on a property-wide upgrade at the Holiday Inn Express in Independence, Missouri. Constructed in 2003 off I-70 near the Little Blue River, the hotel serves the historic city of Independence, as well as Kansas City, Missouri, and is ideally situated for guests visiting downtown Kansas City or taking in a game at Arrowhead or Kauffman Stadium.
Incorporating not only beautifully upgraded fixtures and finishes throughout, the renovation has been carefully designed with the comfort and convenience of the traveler in mind. From an expansive new great room look and feel in the lobby, which will feature two user friendly check-in kiosks, a handy marketplace, 24-hour coffee station, and an inviting guest seating area with decorative focal wall and large screen TV, to luxe new appointments in guest rooms and baths, no detail has been overlooked. The fitness center, business center, breakfast buffet, and pool areas will all receive extensive upgrades, as well. Updated lighting and signage throughout will further enhance the guest experience.
The hotel will remain open throughout the renovation, with work being completed in sections. Completion is scheduled for February 2017.
