Hall Equities Group is pleased to announce it acquired 444 multi-family units in a portfolio purchase in Lawrence, KS, last month. Home of the nationally-ranked Kansas University Jayhawks, Lawrence lies midway between Kansas City and Topeka, the state capitol.
The portfolio, averaging about four years old, consists of four separate complexes – Ironwood Court, Remington Square, Park West Gardens and Park West Townhomes – and is nearly 100% leased. While half the units are designed and priced as newer, quality student housing near the university, other assets in the portfolio offer higher-end finishes and substantially larger living spaces for local families and professionals. Forty-four units are duplex patio homes. Much of the portfolio has attached private garages. The purchase includes a vacant, 2.7-acre boulevard frontage, commercially-zoned parcel.
